all the talented musical film industries are not known to the world. For most people bollywood (hindi) film music industy is indian film music industry. Tamil Kollywood, Malayalam Mollywood Telungu Tollywood and Kanadam are unknown. A R Rahman is tamil originally from Tamil Naadu but to the world he's a bollywood musician. Not fair

AR Rahman has written music to two of my favorite movies: Rang de Basanti and Slumdog Millionaire. I love his music!!

ARR rules. He is a decent modest simple person. And AMAZINGLY talented. Humble - a "man of God".

yes indian knows the difference..go google and type indian movie...the first page would be just about...BOLLYWOOD .....and thats not the worst part....Bollywood is just commercialised films......slapstick comedy...no theme...the only good factor is the music....

Sholay is a total classic. Roja was the first film I saw, so it's really close to my heart. Do watch it in Tamil, though. Too many Hindi dubs become people's introduction to Indian films and it's saddening. As rageeth says, there are many languages in India, and accordingly, many sides/faces. One should do one's best to experience them all!

It depends mate .... like Rahman said ...its not bollywood ..its indian movies ..and they are made in more than 4 different languages in very different genres.... so if u lemme know what genres ur into .. that wud be helpful to suggest a movie for ya....
